Digital information sessions ‘New pension at Shell’ by Shell Netherlands

On 1 July this year, the Central Works Council approved the changes to the Shell pension schemes. This marks an important milestone under the Future Pensions Act (Wtp) and sets the next phase towards a new Shell pension in motion. The pension funds (SSPF and SNPS) have been asked to start making preparations to implement the changes to the existing pension schemes. We would like to inform you about these changes.

Digital information sessions about the New Pension at Shell
On Wednesday 17 July and Thursday 18 July, Shell Netherlands, together with the Central Works Council (COR) and the Voeks Committee on the Right to be Heard (VHC), will host virtual information sessions. As part of this transition, the VHC has exercised its right to be heard for SSPF in order to represent the interests of retirees and former employees of Shell Netherlands.
A recording of the session (in Dutch) will also be available at https://www.nieuwpensioenbijshell.nl, for viewing at a later stage.

What can you expect from the information sessions?
Shell Netherlands, the COR and the VHC will use the information sessions to explain the pension changes, and specifically the transitional steps for SSPF and for SNPS. They will show by means of different examples what the implications of the decisions are that have been made.

The information sessions are intended for retirees and former employees
Retired personnel and former employees will receive an e-mail invitation for the sessions. If you haven't received an invitation, please contact us.
